Job Description
- Supporting in overseeing the group investment portfolio, monitoring its financial performance to ensure its alignment with the strategy, developing the investment strategy focused on increasing ROI of the portfolio.
- Lead and managed all aspects of the merger or acquisition process from start to finish for the capabilities decided to build inorganically. Lead the scouting of new Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Joint Venture (JV) opportunities helping the company unlock new business value across dimensions such as market entry, capability acquisition & building, new business opportunity, user base expansion, strategic investments etc.
- Conceptualize and develop business cases and project plans for any major organic investment and all inorganic ones (M&A or JV opportunities), resulting in the approval of signing new investments, acquisitions, MOUs, or JV agreements.
- Leading due diligence efforts to assess the financial, commercial and operational viability of potential targets, coordinating with external advisors.
- Manage the investments financing process in identifying the sourcing and the deployment of funds needed to implement capital investments in close coordination as required with other functional areas of SPL.
- Lead and direct the effective coordination with the wider finance team to develop and maintain relationships and ongoing dialogue with key members of the financial community on both the buy-side (credit and equity investors, bank lenders) and sell-side (equity and credit research analysts, credit rating agencies, index providers, etc.).
- Plan, manage and attend investor events, investor and analyst meetings, roadshows, conference calls and shareholder meetings to ensure the consistent communication of SPL’s interests and ensure compliance to the company’s disclosure requirements.
- Manage SPL’s relationship with securities exchanges and capital markets regulators to ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and requests.
- Monitor external analyst valuation models and estimates, sell-side and rating agency research and market-related trends impacting valuation and perception, identifying issues that require management attention. Stay informed on relevant macro and sector news flow and trends; monitor and communicate internally about competitive information.
- Secure an internal updated Business Plan for the group to enable a proper assessment of the group value.
- Monitor and oversee internal financial models, identify key trends, and gain insight on the company's revenue/expense line items, drivers, and scalability.
